Children's Wear 2019-- PD1
For this 2 look collection, I was inspired but the mental and physical battle between the light and dark side of the force. For this collection, I wanted to focus on the yin and yang of characters from Star Wars. Specifically, I focused on the physical and emotional battle between Luke and Darth Vader, and between Rey and Kylo Ren. Luke and Rey are predominately light while their counterparts are predominately dark. They each see the opposite in each other and go through a long hard battle to show it. With the battle, it proves that the balance between the light and dark is important and should not be disturbed in any way.
My target child is 5-10 years old, both boys and girls. They are adventurous souls that dream of exploring the ends of the universe. They are strong willed and know exactly what they want to do. Their imaginations are endless with visions of wookies as their co-pilots and flying through the galaxy looking for the next great adventure. The collection fits this child well as the clothes are comfortable and playful, great to explore even the farthest of planets.
Look 1 is made up of of a reversible kimono made from 2 metallic poly knits, a black jersey knit tank top with a  square neckline, and a skirt made from stretch pleather with 2 cotton galaxy print inserts on either side.
Look 2 contains a tee shirt with the red metallic poly for the sleeves and blue shift metallic poly spandex for the rest, denim pants with red metallic poly in the front pockets and a single pocket in the back, and lastly, it has a black velvet bomber jacket with a blue galaxy print cotton jersey for pockets and cuffs with the metallic blue poly spandex as the lining.
